Meet the Owner
Rich McHale has been passionate about computers and technology from a young age, turning his early interests into a career dedicated to making tech accessible. In 2023, Rich joined Atlantic Cape Community College as an IT Technician and quickly earned a promotion to Helpdesk Manager. It was during this time that he discovered his enthusiasm for the helpdesk concept—an approach that combines problem-solving with personal support.
Rich holds several professional certifications, including CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+, as well as the ITIL Foundations 4 Certificate in IT Service Management. These credentials, paired with his hands-on experience, ensure he brings a wealth of knowledge and professionalism to every interaction. Inspired by his experiences, he launched Helpdesk 609 to bring the concept of an IT Helpdesk directly to the public, ensuring that individuals and small businesses alike can access dependable, friendly tech support tailored to their needs.
Now, as the full-time focus of his work, Helpdesk 609 serves Cape May County with a commitment to making professional-grade IT support accessible, welcoming, and effective for anyone facing tech challenges, big or small.
In addition to his work in technology, Rich holds an Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice from Atlantic Cape Community College and a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies from Thomas Edison State University. Currently, he is pursuing his law degree at Rutgers Law School, further broadening his knowledge and skill set.
